Stroud Baker

Stroud Baker
Stroud Baker has a background in criminal law, but his practice today focuses primarily on civil litigation. He joined the firm in March 2023.
A lifelong South Carolina resident, Stroud has spent most of his life in York County and currently lives in Rock Hill. He earned his undergraduate degree in Economics and Spanish from Clemson University in 2017 and received his law degree from the University of Georgia in 2020. While at the University of Georgia, Stroud served as a student-attorney in the Community Health Law Partnership Clinic, which provided free legal services to noncitizens in the Athens, Georgia area.
After law school, Stroud clerked for the Honorable Daniel D. Hall of the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit. He then worked at the York County Public Defender’s Office, where he represented hundreds of clients on charges ranging from driving under the influence (DUI) to attempted murder. Stroud is also a Spanish speaker. He began studying Spanish at Clemson and continued building fluency during and after law school. His Spanish skills often led to him assisting and representing many Spanish-speaking clients during his time at the Public Defender’s Office.
In his free time, Stroud enjoys going to the gym, reading, and fishing. To schedule an appointment with Stroud Baker, please call (803) 324-7200 or email stroud@fcwlaw.com.
